Sweet Potato Bread

THIS WAS SO GOOOOOD!!
I loved it and so did my dad. I think next time I might add a little more sugar, but otherwise it was WONDERFUL!! (teehee)

<-- Half eaten sweet potato bread.

I also made a sweet potato casserole (which was also wonderful) with the leftover mashed sweet potato I had, but I won't put a picture on. Sorry!

Hmmm...now what else can I do with sweet potato. (I have an entire box full of them in my kitchen right now...

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Again, no picture. I have seriously got to remember to take pictures before eating them all/handing them all out. Anyway these were a BIG hit. I brought them to school - 50 in total - and by 3rd period I only had 20 left. They were all gone by 4th-5th period, so I am quite proud of myself :D

Now, most likely I'll just bring in these guys from now on whenever I have a party at school or something :)

Sweet Potato Pie + New Invention

Hey, guys! I'm back! Last weekend (or was it the weekend before?) I made some awesome sweet potato pie. And...I had some left over sweet potato pie filling, so what I did was I got my muffin/cupcake pan, layered the bottom of a couple of them with crushed cracker (just a random cracker, not even graham cracker 'cause I didn't have any) and filled it 2/3 of the way with the sweet potato pie filling. And I have to say I thought they were better than the actual pie themselves :D

Cake-pops, anyone?

Woot! Cake pops! Used the pieces of cake that I had from my pi-day cake and made cake pops! Sadly, I didn't have any sprinkles or anything I could decorate with (literally, absolutely nothing.) So it's just chocolate on chocolate (not that I mind or anything :D)

Hehehehehehehe, I already ate two :P

Is it just me or did I make them abnormally big? 0.0

Well, I'm gonna slow down on the sugar now, so I probably won't be baking anymore cakes for at least a month. Bye!

Happy Pi-Day!

My pi-day cake!! It's messy 'cause I didn't have that much time to fix it and everything, but it tasted good! (P.S. it looks nicer in real life than in the picture...:P)

Oh well! It's pi! Actually, it's a cake, but it's still pi!

EPIC FAIL!!!

So, yeah. As the title states, this cake was an epic FAIL. So pretty much, here's what happened. I was going to make an "essay" cake for my friend in her AP History class 'cause their 10-page essay was due. Then, I decided that since I'm not even in her class, I'll make it a bit more personal and less historical (haha see what I did there XD). So, I was going to base it off of zombie lane. However, that turned out to be harder (impossible!) than I thought. So, I just made it a green cake and left it at home for my family to eat. Pfffffffft. I'm such a fail :P

...Shoulda just stuck with the essay cake...

Oh well, at least it tastes good :)

AP History (for Mel) (March 9): not chocolate essay cake
Sydney's birthday (June 4): funfetti tie-dye hippie w/ snoopie on top.

Donations are welcome! (lol just kidding :D)

No, but really, I'm broke...

*Update

Jiji's Graduation (June 9th) - chocolate pikachu cake
Others that I currently do not remember...

Second Cake

Truthfully, I've only made two cakes so far. This one was a welcome home present for my sister when she came back from college. I didn't want it too big, so I just made it smaller than my first one. It's a black magic cake (allrecipes.com) with whipped vanilla frosting and, of course, marshmallow fondant. Here are a bunch of pictures and some videos :D

Yeah, I kinda screwed up covering the cake a bit. Gotta work on that.

Gotta work on my flowers too...

I really don't know what's with me and taking videos but here you go. It's more of me talking nonsense :D P.S. If you're wondering who I'm talking to at the end, it's my sister.
And then, of course, after the first slice! Success! She liked it!

Woot! I'm super excited for my next cake. Be prepared for a very pi-type of cake! Hopefully, I'll have enough time to make it! Bye!

New Aspiring Cake Artist + First Cake

Hi, everyone!

My name is Annie, and I am currently an aspiring cake artist! Actually, I'm only a sophomore in high school, but baking is one of my hobbies (ever since about 2 weeks ago lol). On this blog, I'll post up pictures and videos any cakes I make for friends' birthdays, family birthdays, or any other time I feel like making cake teehee!

Anyway, here is the very "first" cake I made. I made it for my friend, Kelly's, birthday and the fondant character on top is Jirou Akutagawa from the anime, Prince of Tennis, 'cause she loves it. The cake, itself, is a funfetti box mix (don't worry, my second cake's homemade :D) with a whipped vanilla frosting and marshmallow fondant (I don't believe in regular fondant - it tastes bad :P)

You can ignore all the background talk. It's just me saying nonsense. Check out the video!
